BarnSCAN – The Barnsdale Local History Group

 

Formed in 1999 by Norton Parish Council to commemorate the history of the parish villages
for the new millennium, Barnscan (which stands for Barnsdale Sutton Campsall And
Norton) had evolved into an informal local history group based at Campsall Village Hall. We
organise four illustrated lectures per year with guest speakers, as well as holding occasional
open days and excursions. We don’t have a membership as such, but all our events are open
for anyone to attend.
